Re: taxis

I used a taxi today for a half mile trip to son's place - £4.50
I expected it to be price hiked on christmas day, so wasn't surprised.
I normally give a good tip, but I only rounded it up to a fiver, because it arrived one whole hour after I had asked for it.
Despite having pleurisy at the mo, I had started to dig my car out of the snowdrift, thinking that it would never come.
The other 10 for dinner were waiting patiently for my breathless arrival before starting.

On the return trip I had regained my composure after several glasses of wine, but was thwarted again by a foul poison emitting deodorant tree hanging within one foot of my face. I was rendered gasping and breathless yet again.

The dinner and good company were worth the suffering of the taxi though

Re: taxis

i shall be using one tomorrow evening, always ask the fare when ya ring up n book em, thats tactic i use, dont say owt to driver, then tell him to get stuffed if he says its any more. should say, i always tip em if honest, if they try conning they get sod all.

sue the site over an overexpensive taxi?? hehe

The firm i used last to get a taxi from asda has an X in it. I am in clayton too and i was charged £2.50 as usual. True, the taxi driver turned his stero on full blast and played gansta rap tunes. Also Dill Hall lane was packed and he drove on the pavement to turn left
