Re: That's HOT

It's getting to the point where we're all asking ourselves: "Where else can we put it?" The snow is piled so high, it falls down again like a mini-avalanche.

You need a bigger shovel.

Yes, I see what you mean. But I like this one because it's light. I've got a jeezley big metal one, but it gets tiring trying to heft it as well as the snow. Today we used our little electric powered snow blower. It deals with the deep stuff, leaving me to finish up with my little plastic shovel.
I've just been on real time chat with a friend who's in Barbados right now. I said think of what you're missing - it's light and fluffy, bright and sparkling. I don't think she took that thought on board.

I'm worried about Eric! Is that Brit speak or Canuck speak?

We'll have to get to the bottom of this!

Re: That's HOT

Gorgeous morning out here today Eric, a little cool at -10 but no snow in sight. It,s almost time to get the golf clubs out.

Great day here too ... a balmy -12, and sunny;

Golf is a couple of months down the road ... I sometimes think that you guys on the other side of the hills in British California have it too easy ... but, then you have the rain ... and you live in a major earthquake zone ... and you don't have a real hockey team ... and your football team sucks. Once dated someone from West Van; she thought winter gear was a gore tex jacket, a pair of wellies, and an umbrella.

Things have changed a bit Eric, winter gear is now two tickets south.

Re: That's HOT

Had another couple of hot spells here in sunny South Australia (actually had nothing else but hot spells for the past few weeks) with more to come apparently. Should be about 42 tomorrow and continuing in the high 30's and into 40 again next week.

Just thought I'd throw that in - especially for Turtle and Eric.

"Bottom" is, bud, I'm Canadian. Been here about 47 years, and an official citizen since '72 ... and a Montreal Candiens and Saskatchewan Roughriders fan since '67. Wouldn't consider living anywhere else. So, you don't have to worry. Eh.

Re: That's HOT

I felt a bit chilly this morning when I was standing outside waiting for my little granddaughter to come here. Thought for a minute or two that I might have to put a cardigan on. Must have been about 15 degrees.....

Still it's back to 42 on Wednesday.
