You'll be banned.

I had a post reported last week which just quoted some Latin.

Re: The Passing of Albion

Nowt wrong with Latin. If we can have the Queens English on here and Lancashire dialect then I can see nothing wrong with quoting the occaisional Latin phrase, which is of course, still in common parlance within the English legal system and therefore within the English language.

You probably used pig-latin, which is complete nonsense and as such you deserved reporting.

Even worse, I quoted pseudo-Latin, for my crime. Which resulted in some eagle-eyed member reporting the post, and demanding it's removal.

Quite right too.

Rules are rules, and I'm sure no petty, malicious, political agenda was involved at all.

She's got mince pies everywhere.

Big ones, small ones. Some as big as yer 'ead.

Anyhiow, my old cockney sparrow, what are you doing on the nightshift?

Do they not need a glass collector at Miss Whiplash's Pole and Hungarian Dancing Club anymore?

Actually it shouldn't have been plural.

Should read, a big one, and a small one.

However, try spotting a Christmas card with a Nativity scene on it these days. This was seized on a few years ago as potentially offensive to other faiths and has all but disappeared except for the odd veiled reference on certain charity cards.

As an atheist I struggle to find cards without religious scenes.

Anyone who can't find any, I'll take shopping in Accrington.

Stars, baby Jesus, donkies, shepherds....there's cards a plenty for sale in Accy, that'll satisfy you all.

That's it, give good ol' Accy town centre a plug. Only around 270 shopping days to go, get down to the Arndale Centre and the market!

Re: The Passing of Albion

Perhaps the people who can't find Christian themed Christmas cards, should ask their vicar this coming Sunday, if he knows of anywhere.

What? The church closed down, because of falling attendance?

Who'd have believed it.

Re: The Passing of Albion

Don't to want spoil anyone's suprise, but here's the cards I'm sending this coming December.

'Snowfall in Lytham.'

I bought a whole load, from an enterprising young women, who was going from door to door.

Bit expensive, but the quality is top notch.

I really didn't plan on spending that much, but I did feel sorry for her.

Lovely young woman.

Not from these parts. Very well spoken.

Terrible night.

Her tray of buckles and bows was wet through, as were her dusters.

Luckily the cards she had were wrapped in cellophane.

She'll go far.
