Vinyls

Hi, I keep hearing that vinyl's are back in fashion. A friend of mine recently "found" i.e. forgot she even had it, an LP by YES, with our very own Jon Anderson featuring on it. She asked me (jokingly) might she be sitting on a fortune and doesn't even know it. I jokingly told her to keep buying the lottery tickets! :-)
Anyone know owt about the price of old vinyl's?

Re: Vinyls

There's a book called Record Collectors Price Guide which gives values on vinyl releases, but it's a bit expensive - about twenty quid I think. There's also a website called Discogs which people use to sell their vinyl, so you can get a good idea of what a record's worth (sorry, can't post link, as I'm on my iPhone at the mo'). As Yes albums sold in large quantities, wouldn't have thought it was worth much, unless it's a rare Taiwanese picture disc or something similar!

Re: Vinyls

I have a friend who has collected vinyls since being at school in the seventies. He has a huge collection and kept most of them pristine. I think he must have quite a few rare ones in there. They're probably worth a few bob by now.

Re: Vinyls

What Wynonie says is correct, also to get best price they have to be in the original sleeve n mint condition.

Ask Jim in Custard Cube on Little Blackburn Road. He use to source some collectable records for my son.
