What was your top telly this Christmas
Amongst all the drudgery TV - there was only 1 bright star for me
Sky Indie showed the "musical" version of Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds, filmed at Birmingham I think, to a sell out exhibition centre, with Jeff at his best and an orchestra and support cast that did the show proud
If ya didn't see it, I hope it repeats, catch it its superb

Re-runs of Michael Palins Around the World in 80 days. Trouble is I kept forgetting it was on and he ended up going from Bombay back round to London in 2 programmes

i like that, but its bloody sad when were picking re-runs as the best i think. speaks volumes for the crap they put on.

Re: What was your top telly this Christmas
Telly was rubbish as ever. I bought the wife the entire "Cracker" series on DVD as part of her present, and we spent a few evenings watching each of the episodes in sequence. The wife had said it was one of her alltime favourite programmes, but Ive never seen the show before and thought every episode was quality, excellent viewing.

I just stuck to watching dave (the tv channel not a bloke lol). Street crime uk, road wars and top gear suited me just nicely.
