I will go for art student but I think he is a foreigner rather than British. With the amount of publicity that this supposedly missing person has had, if he had family in this country surely someone would have claimed him. If he is a student doing this for a prank then he should be made to pay for wasting police time, all the costs of being housed in a hospital facility and the cost of any therapy or healthcare that he has received.
