Accrington CC Bonfire 2009?

Is there a bonfire on this year at the Cricket Club? Can't find anything on the web about it..
If not at ACC then does anyone know where else there is an organised bonfire this year and when?

Not sure if there is a bonfire as well but there is this ;

Marl Pits are holding the Firework Display on 6th November 2009 at 6pm

There is going to be a funfair as well.

Tickets are available from Marl Pits Swimming Pool, Haslingden Swimming Pool, Haslingden Sports Centre and Bacup Leisure Hall.

Tickets cost £2 for Adults, £1 for Children, Family Ticket £5.

'Ow do, Royski. :D

I've spoken the chairman of Accy CC, Rod Kenyon, this evening. He said, "Da!" There will be a bonfire at the club, on Saturday 7th of November.

I would expect the event will be publicised in the Local Rag, in due course.

Hi everyone,

We're Hyndburn Rotaract, who organise the bonfire at Accrington Cricket Club, and we would like to confirm that the bonfire is on this year as usual.

It's on Saturday 7th November, gates open at 6.30pm, bonfire lit at 7pm, fireworks at 7.30pm. There'll also be a BBQ, funfair, bar..

Entry is £2 for adults, £1 for children.

Hope to see you all there!

Hi, waswondering is this a safe event or is it another one of those displays where you get too many drunk teenagers acting irresponsibly with fireworks, and making it not safe or enjoyable for families who go to have a nice evening?

Well since it's run at the Cricket Club by a very responsible charity I would say you can safely take your kids !
They don't allow any fireworks other than the organised display (except sparklers under strict supervision), the bar is open but it's well organised and in the 8+ years I've been going with family and youngsters there have been no problems.:D
Hope to see you there!
