Are they paying for that unit or are the Arndale that desperate they are giving it them free of charge?

I would be surprised if they are paying for it, as they have no dosh as far as I know. A grant from HBC maybe.

does it pay rent,or should it have been incorporated in the library,does it create any money to pay staff wages or is it just a non job council funded exercise by the clown hall.

my opinion only... it is a mistake to have it in the Arndale.... nothing wrong with keeping it in the market or maybe even the Victorian Arcade: Still it does like you say fill up yet another empty unit in the Arndale: They are still keeping the one in the market hall... but it seems they will find them selves really stretched: That said the team there at the museum do a great job: and it does look fantastic:
