AccringtonWeb Poker Tournament
Would there be interest in an online poker tournament? Anyone from AccringtonWeb would be able to enter and it would be something like $5-10 entrance fee or perhaps more depending on what people felt would be the best price to set.
Everyone would be welcome regardless of if they're a pro or if you have never played poker before..
Vote in the poll if you're interested and are 18 and have the necessary methods to pay (Credit card or whatever online payment the poker room takes)

Re: AccringtonWeb Poker Tournament
Is there a preference for software?
I'd like to be able to run it on linux, but I suppose I could borrow a windows laptop if needed.
I was looking at pokerroom but any software that allows me to setup a private tournament would be fine. I've used betfair in the past (allows deposit by paypal) but I don't think they allow you to setup private ones.

Re: AccringtonWeb Poker Tournament
Yeah I tried looking for places to play private poker sessions and struggled not so long back. I got a few mates playing on PKR at one stage. Good software and has a 'free play' option but lacks the option to play in private rooms.

Re: AccringtonWeb Poker Tournament
Well some people don't want to meet I guess. I thought it would be easier this way, especially if there are large numbers.
but theres nothing to stop somebody organising a get together one if they wish

Re: AccringtonWeb Poker Tournament
UK Cowboy runs a poker tournament on behalf of the Stanley Supporters Club. It may not run now until the new season starts but they are a good laugh, costs a tenner for a seat and are usually played in tables of four with the winner progressing to the top table. Losers usually take their own table and play for side bets (sshh!)
