I don't know where the reference to "incapacity" and "sex register" comes in.

I've obviously misunderstood the nature of the thread: I assumed it was for stay-at-home accywebbers with skills that could be put to good use, and the inclination to do so. Being able to pop round and fix someone's computer or diagnose an electrical fault, that sort of thing.
Is was and is.
If you look at post 7 on this thread you will understand the sex register reference.

In that case, I'm at a loss as to why my first post attracted such a vitriolic response. Anyone on benefits should make sure they aren't going to lose those benefits if it became public knowledge they were doing some form of work.

Also, if some jobsworth decides theres a case to answer, an employer that knows their employee to be on benefits may also suffer as accessories if the proof is pursued hard enough.

I think there is something in the interpretation of my quote:
If someone applied to me for a job I would consider the benifits and the CV of the applicant.
I would consider the benefits to me as an employer....nothing to do with the benefit system.

We get loads. I only mentioned the older lady because she's willing to help out but is paranoid about earning money in case it affects her pension.

Last weeks helper can be seen here - warning: It's spam, but it's tasty spam.
