Re: Jobs?

There have been a few jobs mentioned recently, may find something if you back track through recent threads.

Re: Jobs?

Unfortunately u have to get out there & search, troll the streets kind of thing, many many people are out of work that rely on a wage to keep them thro out the year not just for summer, there can be 100 of apps for 1 job and the employer gets the cream of the bunch, especially as the un employment rate goes up with the recession. Fear not i got a job in the last recession just coming out of school - so beleive theres still hope

But means u will have to put yourself out there much more & be persistant, as much as people will post about vacancies being available that is very few & far between with many more people like yourself posting here to find work.

Re: Jobs?

It is tough, I advertised a 4 hour vacancy recently & received 350 CVs! Just make sure your CV is clear & easy to read & if you can put a covering letter on it stating why you would like to work for the company you're applying to it will get more attention that just a generic CV. Good Luck

Re: Jobs?

It really is tough out there. We have 2 kids at the moment searching and applying for absolutely anything and everything. One is 17 and one is 16, and no one is interested in kids of that age at the mo. I have also been applying for jobs, jobs I am qualified in and have experience, and not getting anywhere. There are just too many people applying for the same jobs.... xx

Re: Jobs?

I also notice aldi at accrington advertising for staff minimum of 20 hours per week £8 per hour , girl on checkout said you get well over the 20 hours but you're only contracted to do 20 must be 18 though due to licensing laws
