Re: psychology degree...

You will be able to request a prospectus and prices from Open University website. Most Universities and colleges have theirs available online, as I have requested information from several universities for my friends daughter. Good luck with your degree.

Re: psychology degree...

Expect the OU one to take awhile, or put a hell of a lot of work in.

The OU degree works on a points system, and the more points you study for, the more time you need to put aside.

I did a very small part a few years ago, which was worth only 60 points, and you need 360 points for a degree.

Good luck to you, though!

Mani....contact Sandy Lane College, they will be able to advise you on what is available and whether you are entitled to an Adult learning grant.
Good Luck with whatever you choose!

Re: psychology degree...

If you have done any courses or studies already Mani, most colleges and Universities will let you transfer credits and give you some concessions for work that you have already done. I was exempt from several modules when I started my degree which meant that I could do it part time in about 4-5 years instead of 6-7 if I had to do all of the modules (and I must admit that I have had a couple of terms off)..

Re: psychology degree...

Do the Open University...academically, it has a very good reputation and you'll find that it's tutition fees are very reasonable, compared to other institutions, unless of course, you are getting sponsorship or some other form of grant support.

Sandy Lane are exellent for information. I'm doing A Level law and sociology, and they are really helpful. Though they don't run a psychology degree they have a sociology orientated degree. Preston runs the best local psychology degree in the area and run some with combinations such as sociology and criminology.
Good luck Mani
