St James Street
Here's a nice old view, looking down St James Street - remember when the Huncoat bus stand used to be outside the library? The view at the bottom is much different than today. If you look on the left hand side, just lower down than the library building, you can see what was the old Gas and Electricity. I remember that being pulled down and the boring new Job Centre building going up in its place. The lass from Ossy (Polly James - out of the Liver Birds) was there for the official opening of the building. Two of the large stones from the building are still just "dumped" in the grounds of the old Childrens Library, around the corner.
