The squirrel was coming within a foot of me, but when it saw my camera it went about 6 ft away.I think it was used to being fed

My sister in law used to go to Towneley just to feed the squirrels.....they would come onto her hand.

I had a little drive over to Darwen to look at India mill chimney.
What a beauty

Some may remeber a few off them "urbexing" type climbing it
Three men scale Darwen 279ft mill in dead of night (From Lancashire Telegraph)

I love Max's squirrel and robin - also quite a few of Dave's would be great in the new competition too.

That mandarin duck took me back to our 1st year school trip Martinmere!

Never been over to Darwen -some very impressive old buildings there.

Still have to sort mine from yesterday - something quite different. We had 2 farmers visiting from California then I got kidnapped and taken along to interpret when they went round a local dairy to see how the milk is transformed to make Grana Padana cheese. Hopefully some interesting photos to post later...
