Good point about the flooding, Eric. That plus we'll get to enjoy Spring all the more when it finally gets here. I never really rely on it until late May early June anyway - anything else is just bonus

After a bit of googling, I found out the Apaches from last week had been seen at RAF Leeming (there were four of them apparently), so I took a drive past today to see if anything interesting was happening.

Finished early so took a walk from work to the parents house for brunch. I had a loaf inside my rucksack that I bought for 10p for such an occasion...

I walked through the ginnel where I saw some windily destruction incom photosphere Pics 5-6 I walked up chequers and made it onto the canal where I fed the ducks.... wait...no I didn't because this bad dude chased them away Pics 1-2 & 8 decided to take a photo of the canal bridge of which is an another incomplete photosphere Pic 7 and after a great brunch- I entered my nephews room where Lady now resides most of her days and snapped a couple of her. She's less moody when shes sleepy

Today in Pictures, a walk around Rhyddings Park, Ossy, when the wind was whistling under my flat cap in an attempt to remove it from my head.

1. Long shadows and a chilling wind, you wouldn't think its Spring.
2. A once proud monument from a man to his parents. Why has it been left to the ravages of time and vandals, should we not preserve these links with the past.
3. From a man in Los Angeles for his parents in Oswaldtwistle, there must be more to this than just an inscription.
4. Usually the busiest part of the park.
5. Its difficult keeping focus when you are climbing over the cargo net.
6. I have often walked past this cross without really noticing it.
7. I don't know why I stopped at this point today.
8. Sometimes history passes you by and sometimes you pass by without really looking.
9. The rain is on its way again, time to leg it.

Today in Pictures, Spring Wood, still very little colour around, but I did find a few bright corners.

1. A few patches of Wood Anemone's are putting up a few flower heads.
2. I didn't expect to find any fungi at this time of year, but the one I found was a big un.
3. A small hint from nature of what is to come, and why it is called Bluebell Wood.
4. Some sections are still in Winter mode.
5. I am already visualising shots when the bluebells are in full flow.
6. However back to the present, rain and low cloud are the order of the day.
7. Longridge Fell on the left, with Clitheroe under heavy rain on the right.
8. You can just see the clouds scraping through the trees, you can feel the moisture when you breath, that, and the wet socks.
9. There is a small pond in the centre of the woods, not very spectacular, but as you know I am drawn to moist experiences.
10. There are a few cherry trees amongst the other trees, but they are lost in the mix.

That brought to an end today's walk on the wet side, but a mental note to return when the Bluebells are at full throttle to snap the pictures I have in mind
