Re: Today in pictures

Nice walk, there is a footpath sign on a gate jamb, do you have to go into somebodys garden?

One or two or those pictures must be smellyvision as I could smell the manure when I looked at them, thanks for the effort.

Re: Today in pictures

Part 1.Today in Pictures is a bit of a mystery tour, to me, I sort of knew there was a footpath, didn't exactly know where it went, and didn't know how long it would take.
1. Up the road and turn right.
2. Thats the bridge I think I am going over.
3. Joined the path, motorway to my right, tip to my left.
4. Heading towards the motorway bridge.
5. Over the bridge and through a field.
6. Parallel to the footpath.
7. Forward on the footpath.
8. Very old style, looks a bit like a french urinal, only smaller.
9. I wonder where this goes?
10. This is where it came out, top side of Altham industrial estate. The wrong side of the canal.

11. Across the field and down to the bridge.
12. I think this is Altham boat yard, it is just short of Altham Lane.
13. Geese looking after young.
14. Fosters Swing bridge, with guard dog.
15. Altham marina, close to Burnley Road, Altham.
16. Don't the kids grow up fast.
17. Gate posts of long ago, and there we are, back onto Blackburn Road and home

I was fully waterproofed up, so I was tickety boo. Although it was a rubbish day, did they manage to fill those tables in Morecambe?

I didn't go out again to check but I believe from various news reports they got a good turnout but didn't break the record. Two villages down south joined by a bridge managed to get a longer one.
