Your Fairy liquid will do the job too. Spray polish helps curtain rails run smoothly to.

Mine is supposed to be self cleaning, but it isn't very good at cleaning up spilt meat juices.....and I still need to get down on hands and knees and put my head in the oven to do a decent cleaning job.
