growing your own veggies

just checked on the spud plants and i noticed a couple of slugs in them, how do i get rid of them without naffing the plants up?

oh and here's how the plants are looking now

Remove the slugs and scatter broken egg shells round the base of the plant and around the pot, the little buggers don`t like it, it works for me anyway.......

Flashy have you checked to see if your spuds are ready. sometimes the leaves go brown when they are

Oh right just presumed they had already flowered, could be ,if there only in a pot roots getting choked, sorry cannot really help only ever grown potatoes in the ground.

If they start to grow flowers, pinch them out, then more energy will go into growing the spuds and not the flowers.

ah cheers for that retlaw, i'm still awaiting the flowers to grow on them, will let you all know when they do

put salt on them .... then you won't need to add salt when you cook your spuds:
and the slugs will melt .......( oh dear)

well ive just had mi hands in the mud and i havent got any sign of any spuds yet

Sprinkle sand round them it has worked for my plants this year.
