Really?! Partner has ended up with it and wont go to the bloody doc's, told him he were stupid but there you go. It went away for a couple of days but now returned, had it for bout a month now and getting frustrated with his whinging!!!

stop eating Cheese and drink only drinks you can "see" through .... White wine instead of Red wine , clear beer (Bitter) instead of Mild/Stout .

Thanks SteelJack, I have managed to get him drinking more water in the day as I had heard of drinking plenty of clear liquids. He has tried sticking it in a bowl of ice cold water for 20mins and also elivating it but no joy............. fed up of shouting at him, feels like I am the one in pain!!! heeheehee

Someone suggested massaging the affected joint with comfrey oil. Personally I would go to the doctor as there are some very effective and quick acting drugs to use.
