Smile Suggestions to repair Patio furniture

We have a redwood patio furniture set to give away. But there is some minor repair needed before selling it, the parallel bar is loose and is no longer parallel. how do I fix it? So, friends can you suggest me some tips or source from where this repair can be done.

Think you need to post a picture of what the parallel part, is part of before suggestions can be made.
