TV remote not working - TIP
Had a problem with the TV this morning, remote wouldn't turn tv on or off or change channels, it did work the volume though so I was undecided if it was a TV or a remote issue.
I rang the Samsung support line up (using www.saynoto0870.com to save paying 0870 prices) What was the 1st thing he told me? Yeah you got it - change the batteries  I'd already done that and it didn't work.2nd thing - Take the batteries out, point remote at TV and press power button for 2 mins Hey, it worked  its a static build up on the remote, handy to know for the future, thing is if I had taken this to the shop for repair what would they have charged me?? £50 at a guessHope this works for you if your remote plays up sometime

Thanks I will try that on ours which also sometimes doesnt change channels yet the volume buttons work fine.

Glad it worked for you too, why don't they put this info in the trouble/fault finding section of the manuals
