Hows the Rist wires demolition going?

Everything is flattened now. Dont know what is going up there, probably houses. Will keep you informed.

yup its all flat now, houses are going on & it will be called spinners walk, not too sure but i think they are barrett homes.

yep it's going to be a barratts estate apparently most now have a deposit down on them, so selling quick. There isn't even a show house yet as far as I can tell.

They have actually put up road signs for Spinners walk already (the little yellow ones) and the place is not even built yet.

Rists Wires and Cables

For those of you living away from the area, here is a photograph (March '03) taken by Owd Bert, of the building we will always remember as being Rists Wires and Cables

I also worked there many moons ago when i was a young lass of 17. Started on a Monday morning, went home at lunch time and never returned.

You beat me! I started there on the Housewives Shift one Monday and lasted till the Thursday. Horrible, horrible place.

I lasted 6 weeks there, hated it so left before they sacked me i was too slow at the job. Did not finish my training.
