used to get the bus to the Antley, call in fer a pint, up to spring hill fer one, then on to the pickups fer the night, that would be mid- late 60s,when bill n tersesa had pickups. all the bloody lots gone now.

Pickups was one of the first pubs I went in cashy, when I was young, that and the Printers, used to go in after rehearsals with St Mary's Amatuers in the sixties, happy days

hey we boozed together the other month, we never had a political discussion, ya never mix politics n religion whilst in gods house.

Well I was just getting into politics then entwisi, but was not that serious then, was more interested in te ale and not getting caught

Not only may I have gone to school with you, probably had a drink with you too. I use to go in pickups quite a lot when I wasnt working at Spring Hill Club.

I think thats the difference today cashy, I didn't really take politics seriuosly until my mid 20s, as I've said there was a lot of ale to sup in them days
