Lily Towers (married name Lily Sanderson) was my aunt. She passed away yesterday. She had a chart success under the name of Mary May.

In the late 50's if you danced too close to your girlfriend the MC would leap off the stage, rush through the dancers and separate you. Couldn't even smooch to the last waltz. Partners at arms length!
