I have a conker on a shoe lace as mentioned elsewhere. It is 40 years old and hard as nails. I brought it with me to Aus. I just might sell it on E-bay. Quite genuine too.

Conkers have been banned at my son's school, as the poor dears might slip over on one and get sued by the parents.
