I'm sooooooooo old.............I was thinking Bill and Ben!!

I did watch most of the above mentioned with my children though, loved the Clangers and Gilligan's Island.

Anne of Green Gables, Little House on the Prairie, Littlest Hobo (I still love the theme tune to that and know it word for word lol!), Metal Mickey, Worzel Gummidge ...... the list is endless! They don't make them like they used too

Mr Benn, Clangers and Bagpuss

Captain Caveman used to irritate me lol, rentaghost was good, and grange hill was good to - zammo turning into a druggie!
Littliest Hobo, i`d forgot about that! that was good! Button Moon lol!
The fall guy with lee majors, secret squirrel, dangermouse,

and the saturday morning programmes, saturday swapshop etc..

But what about the old computer games as well lol

The Double Deckers, I had a desperate crush on the little girl Tiger.

All time favourite programme was Blue Peter with John, Peter and Val, after them it started to go down hill.

The Singing Ringing Tree, which I think was Czech and was dubbed into English, had a real evil dwarf that used to freak me out.

Pre-school I remember liking Watch with Mother, particularly Camberwick Green because I had a toy model of the set to carry on the story when the TV was switched off.

Couldn't stand Andy-Pandy, too good by half. I can remember Muffin the Mule before it became a perversion! BBC used to do a serial on children's TV on Sundays, at about teatime, which was always excellent.

Loads of dubbed European ones they used to show in the school hloidays like Belle and Sebastian, Treasure Island with the haunting theme tune, and the Flashing Blade.

One of the Panopticons, the Burnley one, is called The Singing Ringing Tree, and was based on this programme. I think it's German or Austrian. I don't remember it myself so to find out what it was all about I got a copy of the programme on video - definitely freaky!

Oh I feel so ancient! I watched most of the above with my children. The programme I watched as a child, on a 9" screen, was "Whirligig" with Humphrey Lestoq and Mr Turnip ( a horrendous string puppet). A very young Peter Butterworth was in that too.
