Re: Huncoat

Re: Huncoat

There appears to of been one, that was later redeveloped, but just querying the term as most people know it as within grove estate - unless there was 2

Re: Huncoat

I googled Langdale Council Estate, Accrington.

Nothing came up to suggest that there was an estate called this.

Langdale Close came up.

Langdale Close along with Borrowdale Close and Ullswater Avenue made up the Within Grove Estate.

Hope this helps.

Re: Huncoat

Apparently it relates to the patch of land where those roads used to be Langdale etc and under the tunnel thingy to a long thin strip of land the other side of the railway and a bit that goes off from that at right angles - or so I'm told.

Have a look at Google Earth 53 45'57.24"N, 2 21'16.34"W
