Hi, myself and my two brothers attended Hyndburn Park and my older brother was born in 1939 and very good at Athletics....I am sure he is in the photograph, bottom right corner..I am sending the picture to him and see if he recognizes himself....

I know this is an old thread but just showing my husband, Fred Bunn the photo and his brother Derek is on the front row 3rd from the right.
Fred went to Hyndburn Park, was born in 1942.

Shurm, I don't recognise anyone on the photo and I was there from 47 to 52.
But I wasn't very athletic and I was too young to bother with small fast girls so.....
The hair styles don't look late 40's, early 50's and I don't remember sports teams having such smart outfits- more blouses tucked into blue knickers( I remember them)- only for the girls of course.
Perhaps littlepom can help.
Legend has it Gordon that Bob is the recognised expert on navy blue knickers

Not a legend-a fact.
But I always thought they looked better on girls!
