Not so much the Decimalisation. ( Though I was gutted at the change over.)
But getting rid of lbs & 0z for killigrams, Litres Etc. If it aint broke then dont try to fix it.
Can't people just leave things alone. Change progress call it what you will. But its NOT always for the better.

Now they were good.Remember getting clouted a few times of my parents.Kept sticking the gun barrel in and they would start going mouldy because of it.Then i was allowed to move on to realistic  things.Cap guns and then water pistols  :-/

Did anyone play 'What time is it Mr. Wolf on Park St just off Avenue Parade, I was there with my top and whip, and jumping around playing hop scotch, and marbles.
and cricket with the boys. Then going up to my friends (Linda Bentley-anyone know her- I have just found her after 40yrs)   mums newsagents in Oswald st for the penny tray. Someone out there must have been there with us. And the shop on the corner Pringles, where we nicked a shilling and my mum made me take it back, never nicked another thing in my life, it frightened me to death.  :'(

We also played Grand National, at my Gran's house in Leicester during the summer holidays. There were 6 of us including my cousins and all the hedges were just the right height. One of my Gran's neighbours caught us one day and my little sister panicked and couldn't make the jump, so she just ran straight through the hedge which had a fence in the middle of it. There was a little person shaped hole through the lot and she didn't have a scratch on her. None of us would admit who did it, so my Gran clobbered the lot of us. [smiley=spank.gif]
