Re: The Vulcan
This pub in the early seventies sold more lager and soft drinks than any other pub in Blackburn.....The carpet was taken up by the then Landlord...Walt Buck who was a former bus driver on the Ribble.
A friend of mine, with my help sometimes, took the stock and submitted VAT records.
Walt Buck made quite a consirable amount of money in this place and bought the Jacksons Arms in Chorley....The Sun and the Swan in Blackburn...A big pub in Preston town centre......A Pub in Abbey Village....A pub in Whalley.
The last I heard of Walt..........He made himself known to my Daughter who was then a nursing sister on coronary care after seeing her name tag. Time had caught up with him, Dodgy ticker.
As far as I know Walter is still alive......The old Bandit.

If your ever ever for a holiday Alan you'll have to pop in my club, they have 3 natural beers on, Wynnonie's favourite Black Sheep, Pendal Witch, and I think the other is called Bartender, they are are all good, or so I'm told
