If you don't mind me answering that Willow, they didn't half mess you about, at the TSB.

How so? I worked there for over 20 years and promotion came mistly with a moce to another branch, plus those of us in larger branches where the staff could be spared filled in at smaller branches when staff were on holiday so it wasn't as if I was coming and going to different branches every week. I started off in Accy from where I went "on relief" to some of the smaller places - then moved to Church, the Clayton, then Rishton, then Gt Harwood. Shortly before leaving I did the odd stint at LSW.
The early days were the best when it was Blackburn TSB and head office (admin) was in Preston New Rd., before computers and profit margins.

Re: What were you doing 20 years ago?
I was on the buses in Accrington having the deregulation of public transport to look forward to. Luckily I took the right decision, got out as the first opportunity arose, and never looked back since.

'mistly with a moce'? rofl did I actually post that??? That's the Cluseau coming out again. I should read what I've typed! That should be "mostly with a move'!
Not sure I could get away with posting my memoirs - too many people who would feature in them are still alive.
