well i didnt really know diana, she was on the news a bit but that was about it. i didnt understand so it was no great loss to me. only now i understand how she was loved and stuff.

people die all the time and are on the news so as a kid this was no different to me.

I restricted my earlier comments to the funeral which was a case of turning up to say "been there, seen it, got the t-shirt...". Unfortunatly, I never got the t shirt!....but you're quite right...i was one of those rare people who was appalled at the collective hysteria that occured that week of her death....it made me ashamed to be English; as for free speech, that went rapidly out the door. On at least one occaision I was threatened for questioning the logic of others and the character of Di. Anyway, it's a long time ago and I for one am pleased that we no longer have to put up with the daily drivel that so besmirched our media.
