how do you avoid data breach?

Our company experienced an internal data breach a few months ago; it was already solved as of this moment. I am pretty much sure that we have data governance because it is an important function in an enterprise. But how could a data breach happen? Are there new ways to avoid data breaches and what makes an effective data governance and security solution?

And you expect a sensible answer to a question like that on here?

1/ Never, never connect your computer to the internet or a network.

2/ for added security never ever switch your computer on.

3/ Go back to using a pen & paper, it isn't as fast as a computer but it will stop you asking us to solve problems you are too lazy to investigate yourself.

My thoughts on this(for what they are worth - which is not much)....,Redgeek....if you are truly a geek then you would not be asking us this question.....you would be TELLING us how it would be done.
Secondly, if you had a company and needed to prevent security breaches, I am sure you would employ someone to advise you.
After all your security is paramount to continuing a successful business.

As you are relatively new on here, this may sound harsh and unwelcoming.
It isn't meant to. It is meant to let you know that you are asking the wrong people these questions, and that relying on, or even taking notice of our answers is stopping you from effectively seeking a solution to your perceived problem.
This is the wrong bush to look under.

By not answering any security questions to someone nobody knows has got to be the starting point!!

I'm sure she is waiting for us to confess our ignorance and then she will be offering to tell us how to deal with security issues...at a cost...there is no such thing as free information.

Send me your bank details and I will gladly put £100k in. And show you how to avoid.

Did you not know your Nigerian uncle had died, and left his wealth to you?

Sorry you had to here about it this way,

All my love at this time of need,
James(your friendly Nigerian 419)
