Broadband problems

When I opened my lap top this morning I immediately noticed my BT BB icon was missing, was there last night when I shut up, but now there was just a space. Tried another Internet access which got me on line but would let me do sod all, especially on A W, I couldn't post. Tried resetting to earlier date still no Icon, ran trouble shooter, even installed BTBB from disk still nothing, by this time John ain't a happy bunny, tried virus scan nout, was about to throw the towel in when I just tried right clicking where the Icon was, surprise surprise a box appears with a few options including refresh, hay presto icon pops up. just to make sure I disconnected my router and the leads for about 5 minutes cranked it up again perfect, not only work okay its speedy the flaming thing up too result

Re: Broadband problems

Jaysay, over the past few weeks I have been getting messages from Bt to say thet they were closing down their browser service as it had become old and worn out.......so I reluctantly went over to IE8........I think you might have to do this too.
You can still access your Bt homepage, but your browser will become IE.
If you want more info I cam copy and paste the e-mail that they sent me with all details on it....and PM it to you....it does give a link on it to upgrade.
Hope this is a help.
