no sound or volume icon
I can view videos but there is no sound
I go to control panel and go the to the sounds and audio divices and it says there are no audio devices help |

Does sound work for any other apps etc? If not
Go to control panel, system, device manager Look under sound devices to see if its recognises your sound card |

Have you had sound previously?
I know it might seem like a daft question, but I have to ask! If you have had sound, then have you tried a System Restore...back to a time when you had sound?
