Happy Birthday ZX Spectrum!

BBC News - ZX Spectrum's chief designers reunited 30 years on

The venerable Spectrum is 30 today!

I started prior to this and still have my ZX81 but for a lot of people the Spectrum was their first ever home computer and opened up "IT" as a completely new career path to choose from when at school.

To me the £70 I spent buying my ZX81 was probably THE best investment I have amde or will ever make..

Got several Spectrums, a +1, +2, and a ZX81 and here's a golden oldie a Sinclair Scamp; 1k of ram and an I/O interface.
Understand them all more than this thing I'm using, at least I can have a look to find out what's going on no viruses and no addon charges oh for a simpler life!.
Use the Spectrums to run the model railway.

"ditto" Spider61 ...memories... spent half of one Christmas Eve programming it to greet my lads on Christmas morning with a scrolling "Merry Christmas"
