Anybody tell me please

I have changed my avatar to a gif expecting the graphic to move had no joy.
What am I doing wrong?

Best and easiest thing is to go to your profile, there click on posts.

Then read through them, I think you'll find mainly though that you are being obnoxious.
:)

I think it uploads and converts to whatever format(or something like that) other than gif. Most sites I've seen that show animating gifs have the streaming/embedded avatars

Can never find the "how to" when i look for it.
A search for "how to" gives this message -
The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : how, to

Bookmarked it now.:)

Forum etiquette demands you always search before creating a new thread

That is a good thread but don't think it answers his problem though.

Try posting the animated gif into a post and see if it works.
It could be something to do with the size of the gif being resized by the forum software stopping it working. Animated gifs are like little movies and probably wont resize correctly

Forum etiquette Rob ??

You are having a girraffe surely ? :) The unedifying posts currently atop this forum would suggest the naughty stick needs to be brung in for some if not all. :)

Would you like to email me your gif and I will have a look at it for you?
Mine has been working for years but it's that long ago I can't remember if I had to do anything to make it work

Re: Anybody tell me please

It's to big and the forum must be resizing it and making a mess of it with it being animated.

When you upload an avatar is says

Quote:

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 39.1 KB (whichever is smaller).
Yours is 282KB and 480 x 320 pixels.

This website can resize it for you Online GIF Resizer - Resize Animated GIF Image
