password reset naffed
tried to change my email password because of the spam it's sending out but i hit a problem
the alternate email addy they have sent the password reset to has expired and isn't in use anymore, therefore i can't sign into my msn and can't access my emails anymore, i have all my pics stored in my emails and a few personal things too, is there any way i can get these back? i've totally bolloxed things up haven't i

ring your internet provider and explain to them just what has happened......They should give you a new password so you can reset everything.....and when thats done check your mail settings in your browser, and maybee increase security.....good luck

She is talking about and MSN password.
When you did the reset thingy it said come back in 24 hours if you still have problems. You can then fill in a form to Microsoft and explain what has happened and if your lucky you will be able to prove its your account and they will send you a new password for it.

The usual way to be hacked on MSN/hotmail/windows live is for a message or email to appear with a link to your friends pictures in it. It all looks like it came from your friend. You click the link and it asks for your MSN/hotmail/windows live name and password. You put them in the box and nothing happens so you think its a naff page.
What you actually just did was to give your username and password to the hacker who can then get into your email and see whats in there. You might have infor from your bank they can use or whatever else. The first thing they do is change the password to a new one and sometimes the reset information as well. Never enter your username and password unless your are 100% sure you are on a genuine microsoft page is all I can suggest.
