Re: Windows XP The Countdown Begins

My Dell PC is only 8 years old- hardly run in. But it can't handle windows 8, I checked with Dell. And they say I can't update it either. So I'm stuck with XP. It does for me and it's a relief to read accymans post 3-you should be OK if you keep antivirus running.

There is always windows 7 not as memory hungry as vista so you may well be able to run it.
It's an alternative, depends how desperate you become in a years time.
Of all the windows bunch of upsy daisies this is the first I've enjoyed since windows 98.

I have a Dell laptop Gordon, and I rang them about mine, they down loaded a start up button, so I now just ignore windows 8 and use it like a 7, whether you can do that with a desk top I don't know, but its been fine since I did it, very few head aches at all now.
