Are Football Fans Hooligans?

An interesting read here, it's quite long though.

Everyone?s equal in the eyes of the law ? unless you are a football fan

Are we seeing the emergence of a two-tier legal system in which football fans are treated as a class apart? Martin Cloake and solicitor Darren White examine the evidence and ask whether we should have cause for concern.

The police have 2 easy targets where they can basically get away with what they want, motorists and football fans.

Any catching of a serious criminal is a bonus

Always been the same wi plod at footy matches, don't matter much where, whilst there are good uns, theres always knobheads that see n easy conviction n brownie points. Some fans are also knobheads, but plod are too lazy to differentiate.

You guys should watch hockey ... there is no trouble identifying the hooligans. They are the ones wearing skates and swinging big sticks.

Wouldn't know about that ... I'm a Habs fan

But talking of hooligans, I still have fond memories of Dave "Cement Head" Semenko ... amazing what he could do on the ice with no brain and no athletic ability

Re: Are Football Fans Hooligans?

Forget about football ... Canada beats the U.S. 1-0 to advance to the final What a game .... bring on the beer, eh.

Hey, all you football fans, we still dominate our game. We may not win every time. We may even lose to a strong Swedish team in the final. But, in our sport, all opponents have to take us seriously.

Having said that, I already have my scarf, hat, and English flag ready for the World Cup.
