Daft Question ...Saturday Pink ...Football results

As the title says , it's probably a daft question ........but is the Saturday Pink still published ? and if not when did it finish publication

Blimey that takes me back, no it's not been published for years. I remember going to the newsagents to collect it but I reckon it must have ceased in the mid 80's at the latest. I assume we're talking about the pink published by the lancashire Evening Telegraph.

I guess with the advent of technology there would no longer be any demand for such a publication these days

I thnk it finished around 1974/5, used to like getting the Pink and going for a pint and a read early Saturday nights

The last edition is on display at the Stanley exhibition in the library. I was looking at it last week.

I noticed the Burnley result and by my reckoning it was last published on the 17th December 1983, somebody from the Stanley exhibition should be able to confirm it or correct it

hell that is summat i really used to love, used to walk down to "Redmans" on sat evening to get me "Pink" off Sid.
