That's true as far as Professional hockey and probably college hockey. However, our high school hockey games had some of the worst fights both on the ice as well as in the stands. Worst (or best) were out in the parking lots. I guess it was the result of too much brandy and beer. Oh yeah, plus many of the games took place on Friday and Saturday nights.

There were usually more cops at hockey games than any other of our sports. Just a bit more US trivia information!

Re: good OLD punch up!

I watched the last part of that match and thought it was going to kick off outside after. While the Chelsea team celebrated in front of thier fans after the game,a Spurs fan legged it on and tried to spark Drogba out, needless to say he got a bit of a kicking with the rest of the team when they had him pinned down ready for the dibble to arrest him.Dont think we were suppose to notice them little bits picked up with the TV camera's.Very surprised Drogba is not on a charge, even though he was attacked when the assailant was pinned on the floor he quite clearlly stamped on him not very nice while wearing footy boots.Did no one else see this incident?

Yeah saw that mthead..some might say the bloke deserved it for taking a swing at Lampard, but if it had been a supporter he would have been nicked.
