I used to live near and drink in Ashton Lane, in Glasgow's West End, where he was attacked.
It's not the sort of place where you'd normally see any violence.
Glasgow is a great city, but the hatred that exists, especially after Old Firm matches, shames the city. I've seen it myself, and it's frightening.
I used to have a few Celtic and Rangers players as customers, and you do see them out shopping, though you rarely saw them out in the bars, as the hassle they might get wouldn't be worth the risk.
I hope he makes a speedy recovery.
