Oh! T you disappoint me.Its a fact that England have never ever won their opening game in an E.M. at all.All we have to do now is beat the Swiss and the Croations and we are through.After watching their game i see no problem.Gerrard should have kicked that ball so far out of the stadium that it was found on the Spanish Border!

I try to be up beat then along comes England and does what it does in every competion its ever entered, screws it up, I think its time we made it compulsory that all football players have to be at least above the Remedial level at school before they are allowed to kick a ball in anger

Thats the Golden Rule with English footy, Bas...and it has been since 1970. Unfortunatly there are'nt many people who can seperate the hype from the reality, the hype being we have the talent & leadership to win this tournament, the reality being that we're underskilled and poorly led and we don't stand a cat in hells chance. However, there is the wider issue as to how it's got to this and what we're going to do about it which involves ditching the self-delusion and starting some serious introspection.
