Accrington Girls and Ladies Football Club

congratulations to the under 15's who won their consolation cup with a well deserved victory over haslingden under 15's. Also well done to the under 11's and under 12's who both reached their respective cup finals.

AGLFC continue to grow with girls from age 6 through to our 2 senior teams we are the largest girls only football team in the area and last Tuesday we had in excess of 70 junior players at training. We are always on the lookout for new players and are already planning for next season although for some of our teams this season is far from over

for further information please access our website at www.aglfc.org or e mail the secretary at agsasec@aol.com

Well done!

Don't know if this is worth considering?
From the Stanley Website?

Calling all local junior sports teams and individuals
Our last match of the season against Bury on Saturday 3rd May will officially be Champions Day at Accrington Stanley, and we are calling on all local junior sides to come along and celebrate their achievements with us at the Fraser Eagle Stadium!

And we're not just looking for footall teams, all are welcome no matter what the sport or how great or small the achievement! Whether you have won a national competiton or simply have won more games than you did last year, we want to hear from you!

Interested teams or individuals should contact Lee Carter at the club this week, either on 01254 356950 or lee.carter@accringtonstanley.co.uk, or call into the Stanley Store to book your place. We'll sort you out with free admission to the match and at half time we will call you onto the pitch to celebrate everything that is great about local sport in the area! We also have special deals for adults involved with each side, although these numbers are limited.

Re: Accrington Girls and Ladies Football Club

It makes me very proud to be part Accrington Girls & ladies as agian tonite we had in excess of 70 girls all trianing at the same time. From a passerbys point of view it must be impressive that so many girls in the hyndburn area have taken up the sport.
We already have Rachel Brown who has gone on to play for England, several players already at the Blackburn Academy & this comming month we will have a further three going for trials.
I manage the under 12s & can say hand on heart that at least 5 of my girls could displace any lad in an appropriate team of that age, that is how much girls football has come on.
So if you no of any girl that u see regularly kicking a ball about in the street & you read this please tell them there is a big club in Accrington waiting for them to come & show what talents they have.
We are despretly in need to add to our under 14s for next season as the squad is begining to depleat a little.
We trian every Tuesday nite on the Foxhill pf Oswaldtwistle & matches are at our own ground on Sundays @ Livingstone road.

Thanks for ur time Paul
