2007 Bahrain Grand Prix review

Seeming as ive had bad karma for just pasting a report from another website here is my own...

Both Hamilton and Massa had great starts at the front followed very close by Alonso and Raikkonen into turn one. During the first stint it was neck and neck between the brit and Massa with Alonso slipping back a little holding up the faster Raikkonen. Coming into the first round of pit stops Hamilton stops then 4 laps later in comes Massa and exits in the lead. Raikkonen stays out longer then Alonso and comes out of his stop just in front. During the race Coulthard as made his way from 21st to 9th before his engine says by bye. With Lewis Hamilton having a very long middle stint he is no match for Ferrari's Massa as the Brazilian pulls out a 10 second lead. Raikkonen pulls away from Alonso slowly and is catching Hamilton. Heidfeild passes Alonso to knock the McLaren driver donw to 5th where he would finish the race. As the drivers stop for the second time they all go on to the harder tyres and fuel to the end of the race. Positions stay the same at the front with the McLaren drivers finding the harder tyres are more suited to them. Towards the end Hamilton closes on Massa by 6/10ths of a second a lap but its not enough to stop it being Massa's day.

Final result

1. Massa (Ferrari)
2. Hamiltion (McLaren)
3. Raikkeon (Ferrari)
4. Heidfield (BMW)
5. Alonso (McLaren)
6. Kubica (BMW)
7. Trulli (Toyota)
8. Fisichella (Renault)

Hope this report is ok for you all.

Re: 2007 Bahrain Grand Prix review

3rd and 2 seconds in his first 3 races I think he`s a bit more special than Jenson.
I watched him all last year and he more than anyone has made the smoothest transition of their F3/GP2 success into F1 success. More so than Raikonnen. With 3 Drivers on 22 pts I`m going on the poll and tip him for THIS year.
You`ve just got to burst into tears for Sweet David, he makes Johnny Herbert look like he had a charmed carreer, But it`s great to see those Red Bulls up there challenging for the points. The BMs are a pleasant surprise this season 4 4ths for Nice Nick Cart On. Honda still a massive disappointment. Fishy......Give it up.
Where are we next ?
