Camera instructions?

Does anyone know if there is a website that has camera instructions for free?

I got a free cheapy camera when I signed up for a policy. Its a Fujifilm Clear Shot II Focus Free (35mm). It takes great snaps in daylight but I can't use the flash.

It has a grey button on the front, which activates the flash to blink, but doesn't go off when you take a picture.

Its a really simple camera, so I must be doing something stupidly wrong, but its great for throwing in a bag when you are out and about, and I'd love to use it at night as well as the day.

Any help much appreciated.

Try holding the little button down until the flash ready light comes on. It sometimes takes 20 or 30 seconds for the flash ready light to come on.

No, just tried that, and wasted two pictures of my fire place. :D

The grey button on the front activates the flash indicator next to the view finder, to flash on and off, like its ready to use, but when you take a picture it doesn't go off at all.

Mine were Cannon - the F1 and Ftb, nicknamed 'hefty b' due to the weight with the zoom lens on.

Thanks Doug. I've emailed Fuji.

Yes Willow, one day I will go digital, just as soon as I've saved up to have my Penny Farthing serviced.:D

I've just been thinking shouldn't the policy people have sent you instructions along with the camera? That was a bit mean of them.

Most men I know never read instructions anyway though - just press every button in sight until something happens even if it wasn't what they were hoping for!
;)

It did come with instructions, but I presume they were lost in a box of stuff when I moved. I also lost a prized first edition of Oscar Wilde's De Profundis. Sadly my stuff was stored for six months before I bought my current house, so I didn't know they were lost and it was too late to claim against the removal firm.:(

Its women who never read instructions in my opinion. Or more likely they do when the pizza's burnt or the shelf falls off the wall.:D

I wonder what happens to all the stuff lost in transit when people move? We lost things too and couldn't claim for similar reasons. Maybe they end up on eBay!
