I have Paint Shop Pro version 8......it has a tutorial attached to it and there is a web site that you can visit.

Is there something specific you wanted to learn how to do? I did start doing a series of tutorials myself at one time but they got to be very time-consuming not to mention space consuming.

The colour of the text is the "background and fill" colour. To change that just click on it and you'll get the option window. If you've already added your text you'd be better off removing it and starting again but if you haven't actually clicked on "apply" just highlight the text in the text entry box when you change the colour.
