What is Karma

Karma is like a user rating type system.
Everyone can make a change to everyone else’s karma.

Just click on the http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/s...reputation.gif at the top right hand side of a post that you think deserves positive or negative karma.

There are many things that affect the amount of karma you can give out, like strict time limits and various other rules.

You need to have over 100 posts before you can alter someone’s karma.
The more karma/posts/experience you have the more karma you can change.

You have to spread your karma around and so you must issue karma to at least 10 other people before you can get the same person again.

You can add comments while adding or removing Karma and the recipient will be able to see them in their User control panel but please do not abuse.
Members with less than 100 posts you'll only be able to make comments and not alter anyone's karma.

Also from the User cp you will find links to the posts that members have added or removed Karma from. It shows the last 5 karma mods done to you.

Make good posts in the forum and get it higher, make bad posts and get it lower. It is totally user controlled.

How to do this (marquee) http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/a...tachmentid=246

When making a post use the “Go Advanced” button.

Then insert the code below into your post. (Copy and Paste). The code is inside the PHP box. Do not copy the PHP box it's self, only the marquee code.
PHP Code:

  [marquee=left]Text or image goes here[/marquee

Text or image goes here

To insert an image you will need the URL address for that image.
See here to find out how to retrieve the URL address of an image.
Click Here

Once you have the URL of the image you want to use i.e http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/a...tachmentid=246

Delete the text between the marquee code.
PHP Code:

  [marquee=left] [/marquee

Now using the little yellow box, insert image URL between the two marquee codes.

http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/a...achmentid=2371

PHP Code:

  [marquee=left][imghttp://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=246[/img] [/marquee]

You can also select go left or right. marquee=left.

Now post, it should work.

Please note:
Use the test forums to do any tests.

How to upload images to the Gallery Albums:

http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/a...-upload_a1.jpg

Go to the album you wish to upload too and click the upload Photos button. (See above)

Click one of the browse buttons (see below) and go select you image from your pc.
Give your image a title and perhaps a description.

Finally, scroll down and click Upload/Submit.

http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/a...-upload_a2.jpg

Tip:
To save yourself time uploading your image/ images to the gallery, and it doesn’t matter if you can not then before uploading, resize your image to an image width of about 800 pixels or a file size of 150kb. It’s just that, really large images ‘in Mega sizes’ may take a while uploading and at the end of the day the gallery software will automatically resize/ downsize the image to 800pixel. So if you can do it yourself before hand then you’ll save yourself some time.
