I always assume it's a problem with me,jaysay! I shut the server down, restarted after a few minutes and it worked so you're probably right!
You get these lovely detailed messages when there's a problem but they're gobbledygook to me.

404 is page not found, now if it appears immediately it means the web address you are trying to get doesn't exist ( check spellings usually) if it takes a time then appears its usually a problem with the network between you and the "Internet", check other websites to check your connection is working and then retry, if still broken again check the address is spelt correctly.

I've just had one too.

Very frustrating.

In the past it's sometimes just one word, which prevents you posting.

I had the same earlier this week and just couldn't post something on a thread of Sue123's -I sent it to her on a PM and she kept getting an error on that too, she could read it but not reply.

I did manage to post a shorter version of the post the next day...the mysteries of technology.

Thanks, entwisi, I'll look that up and print it(and probably be even more confused next time).
It's a relief to know I'm not the only one, the trouble is it always happens(of course) when I've spent some time thinking about a post, spent ages typing it and then, messing about, I lose the post!

That is a real bummer Gordon - happened to me twice during the conversation that Mobertol refers to above.

It can't be a conspiracy or there would be a web site with page after page of unprovable facts about yourself and cashy.
Proof that niether of you either conspire or perhaps even exist comes when I try to google you,
